Painting has been the main creative task of Francisco Ledesma, though he also works in the areas of sculpture, photography and art installation, as well as in the philosophical analysis and writing of texts on art and culture. We live times in which has been so much talking about the death of painting, nevertheless, this author has pointed out in an obstinate way through his pictoric work that the art of painting is alive, active and has insisted that it is a sterile issue to argue about the leongevity of this art. Ledesma works starting from ideas that he transforms plasticaly into pictorial series, which he expresses through a styistic nomadism in opposition to the monolitism of the fixed and static styles which the critics favored in the last century. Each one of his series has been developed in an independent manner and is the result of the temporary developmente of an idea and may be the result of many years of working. Otherwise, each series was executed with different technical procedures of painting, some of them invented by him.
